These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Reddit app PinballKarma, displayed as Pinball King Karma (the “App”). The App is operated by Mediadeboer, based in Emmeloord, the Netherlands (“we”, “us” or “our”).
By opening or playing the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. The game
PinballKarma is a free entertainment game played inside Reddit. It includes pinball gameplay, daily challenges, streaks and community leaderboards. There are no cash prizes, wagers, paid items or gambling features.
Community moderators may use the App to create a playable custom post. The App does not automatically publish comments or private messages and does not let players submit free text.
2. Reddit also applies
You must have permission to use Reddit and comply with Reddit’s User Agreement, Reddit Rules and other applicable Reddit policies. Reddit is not a party to these Terms, and these Terms do not replace or change Reddit’s terms. The App is independently operated by Mediadeboer and is not sponsored or endorsed by Reddit unless Reddit states otherwise.
3. Fair use
You may use the App for personal, lawful entertainment. You must not:
- manipulate requests, scores, game code or leaderboard data;
- use bots, scripts or other automation to gain an unfair advantage;
- overload, probe, disrupt or attempt to bypass App or Reddit security;
- impersonate another person or misuse another account; or
- use the App in a way that violates law, Reddit policy or another person’s rights.
We may reject implausible scores and remove scores or restrict access where we reasonably believe there has been cheating, abuse, a security risk or a policy violation. If you believe a score was removed incorrectly, contact us.
4. Leaderboards and App data
If you play while signed in, your public Reddit username and score may appear in a leaderboard for the community installation. Details about the information used, retention periods and your privacy rights are in the PinballKarma Privacy Policy.
You can delete your saved game data with Delete my saved game data on the App’s opening screen. You may also request access, correction or deletion at contact@mediadeboer.nl. A new higher score replaces your saved personal best; deleting your data lets you start again.
5. Ownership and licence
The App, its code, design, artwork, audio and other materials are owned by us or used under licence, except for Reddit materials and third-party components owned by their respective rights holders.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the App through Reddit for its intended purpose. You may not copy, sell, redistribute, reverse engineer or commercially exploit the App except where applicable law expressly permits it.
6. Availability and changes
The App is provided as an evolving service. We may repair, update, suspend or discontinue features, reset test or invalid leaderboard data, or change game balance. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability, preservation of a particular score, or support for every device or Reddit client.
7. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties that it will always be available, secure or error-free. Use of the App is at your own risk.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use or unavailability of this free App. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights.
8. Ending use
You may stop using the App at any time and delete your saved game data. We may restrict or end access where necessary to protect users, the App or Reddit, to comply with law or policy, or because the App is discontinued.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the App or legal requirements change. We will update the date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Continuing to use the App after an update means the revised Terms apply from their effective date.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. If you are a consumer, this choice does not take away any mandatory protection or court rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
