This Privacy Policy explains how the Reddit app PinballKarma, displayed as Pinball King Karma (the “App”), handles information when you use it.
1. Who operates the App
The App is operated by Mediadeboer, based in Emmeloord, the Netherlands (“we”, “us” or “our”). For questions or privacy requests, email contact@mediadeboer.nl.
This policy covers data handled by PinballKarma. Reddit separately controls Reddit accounts and other Reddit platform data under Reddit’s own privacy policy.
2. Information the App handles
When you play while signed in to Reddit, the App may process:
- your Reddit user ID;
- your current public Reddit username;
- your game score and personal best;
- your daily score;
- the date of your last game activity and your consecutive-day play streak; and
- short-lived counters used to limit repeated score and play requests.
The App also stores a non-player-specific installation timestamp and a daily challenge cache.
On your device, the game uses browser local storage for a local best score and a storage-availability marker. This local information is not sent to an external service.
The App does not ask for or store your email address, real name, postal address, payment details or precise location. Players cannot submit free-text content through the App.
3. Why we use this information
We use the information only to:
- run the game and show your personal best;
- provide rolling and daily community leaderboards;
- maintain a consecutive-day play streak and daily challenge;
- validate scores, prevent abuse and apply rate limits; and
- respond to support, access, correction or deletion requests.
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on performance of the service you request and our legitimate interests in operating a fair, secure community game. We do not use App data for advertising, marketing, profiling with legal or similarly significant effects, or training artificial-intelligence models.
4. Storage and sharing
Server-side App data is stored in Reddit-hosted Devvit Redis and is scoped to each community installation. The App does not use HTTP Fetch, third-party analytics or an external player database. We do not sell App data.
Reddit provides the platform, identity context and hosted storage. Reddit may process information under its own policies. We may disclose information only when required by law, to protect the App or its users, or to handle a request you make. We do not otherwise share player data with independent third parties.
5. Retention
- Player identifiers, the rolling personal best and last-active record are removed after 30 days without game activity. An hourly cleanup processes expired records in bounded batches.
- Daily leaderboard data expires after approximately 25 hours.
- Play-streak data expires after approximately 72 hours.
- Rate-limit counters expire after approximately 60 seconds.
- The local best score remains in your browser storage until you use the in-App deletion control, clear the App/site data in your browser, or your browser removes it.
Versions released from 11 September 2026 use the retention rules above. Earlier versions used a username-based long-term leaderboard. That legacy leaderboard is deleted when an installation upgrades. Until an installation is upgraded, you can request deletion by emailing us.
6. Your choices and rights
You can select Delete my saved game data on the App’s opening screen. This removes your current server-side leaderboard, streak and related rate-limit data and clears the App-owned local-storage keys on that device. You can then play again to create a new score.
You may also email contact@mediadeboer.nl to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your App data, or to object to or request restriction of processing where applicable. We may ask you to verify control of the relevant Reddit account before acting on a request.
If European data-protection law applies, you may also have the right to data portability and to complain to your local supervisory authority, including the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
7. Security
We minimise stored data, use Reddit-hosted storage, validate submitted scores, apply per-user rate limits and restrict the App to the permissions needed for its features. No internet service can be guaranteed completely secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to this small game service.
8. Children
The App is available only through Reddit and is not intended for anyone who is not permitted to use Reddit under Reddit’s rules or applicable law. Please do not use the App if you are below the minimum age required for Reddit in your country.
9. Changes
We may update this policy if the App or legal requirements change. We will update the date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
